This is an exciting initiative to promote community participation in improving rivers, wetlands, estuaries and coastlines, sponsored by Thames Water and led by the Wild Trout Trust, Environment Agency and Angling Trust.

We are now into the second year of the project, building on 2014/15, where £50000 was distributed to twenty projects, contributing to a total project fund in excess of £250,000 and involving hundreds of volunteers in thousands of hours of work on our rivers and wetlands.

Funds are limited and we will seek to extend reach through awards to a maximum of approximately £5000 per project.

Projects in 2015/16 will be considered in two tranches, for delivery in:

- autumn/winter 2015, with an application deadline of 20 August 2015;

- spring/summer 2016, with an application deadline of 29 February 2016.
