On saturday six new riverfly monitors were trained by the Herts and Chilterns Riverfly Hub on the River Mimram.

 These new monitors will join many others throughout Hertfordshire and the Chilterns in monitoring riverfly life on our rivers. This important scheme helps us to monitor the biological health of our river systems and detected pollution events which could be devastating to our river environments and the wildlife that depend on them.

The Herts and Chilterns Riverfly Hub would like to extend a big thankyou to all of those who attended the course as well as those already out there actively involved in the scheme.
