Objective:
- To increase people's awareness, appreciation, education and involvement
Project description
To establish and support local community involvement with the river.
Community involvement is key to engaging people with the river and its conservation. Various community groups throughout the catchment could be identified, and encouraged to carry out their own projects (with support from relevant organisations). In particular, local school participation could be increased by a programme of school visits, school trips to the river, and information packs for teachers.
